On 9/9/24 our MHS seniors learned about their voting rights in Ms. Baker's English IV. Students that met the age requirement also registered to vote. The students then educated themselves on all the candidates focusing on the presidency and all the Arizona officials running for office. They also read about many of the propositions that will be voted on in November. The session ended with a mock election where students could cast their vote.

On September 10th Morenci Schools will conduct a lockdown drill. During the lockdown drill, you may see law enforcement and fire department vehicles around our district. Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency responders at the school and if you are unable to contact our front office. Although we hope the need to utilize our crisis protocols never arises, it is the goal of Morenci Schools to continually test and improve upon our practices and procedures to ensure the safety of our students. We will publish a notice when the drill occurs on our website (www.morenci.org) and Facebook page. Thank you for your cooperation.
