Metcalf Winter Dress Up Days

Tomorrow's the day to have breakfast with Santa! Before heading to the Festival of Lights in Clifton, start your day with some holiday fun and crafts! at the MHS MPR!

In our everchanging world , our MHS Junior GIFT electrical students who learn how to navigate electrical simulators on computers are now adding “Computer Control 1” to their program list. This is a new course implemented this year to help instruct students on the difference between Relay Control Logic and PLC Computer Control.
Utilizing CCW software, the students develop a “Ladder Control Logic” program. The students design the computer program, and then upload their newly designed program into the Program Logic Controller (PLC). Based on the inputs and outputs and the addressing of these I/O devices, they can have the computer and simulator do a wide variety of mechanical and electrical operations, based on the program they have written.
It’s an introduction to electrical computer control and an exciting opportunity in a high demand, ever-expanding field of electrical work.

Our MHS Student Council hosted a Thankful Thursday Turkey Contest! Students and staffulty were asked to share what they were most thankful for and why receiving a free turkey would be meaningful to them. Congratulations to our winners!! We hope all our wildcats had a wonderful break!!

December 10th is the date for the Morenci Unified School District Holiday Bands Concert. The concert will feature both Fairbanks concert bands, Mariachi Corona de Morenci, and the MHS Pride Band. It all starts at 6:30 PM in the high school MPR!

Just in time for Christmas AND you can help the Pride Band raise funds for equipment and projects, too! There are 5 days left to purchase one of these throw blankets! There is one specific for band, and another that's great for any Wildcat! Use the QR code or go to the website on the attached flyer.

Metcalf Family Dance!

Our preschoolers read the book Balloons Over Broadway and learned how the Macy's Day parade came to be. We decided to get crafty and have our own parade. Thank you preschool families for always supporting MELC, all the balloons were amazing.

Gary Rees - He has good, positive energy and a willingness to help others. He goes out of his way to be nice. He is great with connecting with students and a great listener!
Denita Marble - She is very caring, helpful, understanding and makes class fun. She is a great teacher, the best role model and shows each student that they are important. She is a good person and an overall joy to be around.
Julie Baker - She is very thoughtful and goes out of her way to give a helping hand. Students love having her for a teacher because she always makes class interesting, funny, understanding and the sweetest person. You cannot help but notice her amazing smile she wears all the time!
