Ms. Robles asked her 8th Grade math students to create their own carnival games and find the theoretical compound probability of getting through different levels. Today, Carnival Game Day, they had the opportunity to try out their games and record the experimental probability to compare to the theoretical probability. They gave away prizes if students won. It was an amazing day and students had so much fun seeing how math applies to the real world! To quote Ms. Robles, "Today I had the best day ever as a teacher!" Awesome job, 8th-graders, and thank you, Ms. Robles, for all you do for your students at FMS!

The Arizona Department of Education released new letter grades for all Arizona Schools for 2022. Morenci Unified School District has received top marks. Metcalf Elementary and Morenci High School received an “A” rating. Fairbanks Middle School received a “B” rating. As a result of COVID, schools have not received a grade letter since 2019. These letter grades positively reflect on Morenci Unified School District and our students, staff, governing board, families, and community. Instructional excellence and a solid partnership with all stakeholders are crucial to school achievements. Congratulations, Wildcats! We look forward to providing growth opportunities to all students for future success.

Good evening, parents. Fairbanks students who wish to wear their Halloween costumes to school tomorrow may do so, as long as they adhere to the following guidelines -No masks, canes, sticks, or weapon-like items of any kind are allowed. Face paint is allowed. -No fake blood or other substances that will spill or cause a mess are allowed. -Students may not wear anything suggestive or provocative in nature. -Nothing can be worn that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities. -Students must show respect to other students by not touching, defacing, or insulting costumes of others. -Students must show respect for others by not choosing costumes that are insensitive and/or offensive to the diverse backgrounds represented by others at our school. Fairbanks is not responsible for costumes that are torn or damaged. Parents are encouraged to remember that students can be very physical during recess and PE. As always, we want our students to demonstrate respect and responsibility. Anyone who does not follow the Halloween Dress Code will be subject to the dress code violation consequences or further disciplinary action such as a call home for a change of clothing. Please make every effort to keep this day fun and safe for all students. Have a great night!
