This year was our highest fundraising year for the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge! We surpassed our goal of $7500, and our reward was making "principal sundaes." We also had 34 students complete Finn's Mission, learning about CPR and the signs of stroke. Thank you for all of your donations and supporting this great cause!

FMS students have a new game called 9 Square in the Air. It's a combination of volleyball and four square. 9 students stand under straps attached to poles above their head. The straps form a tic-tac-toe pattern. They bump a ball to adjacent squares and defend their own square. If the ball hits the ground in a player's square or is hit out of bounds, that player is out and a new player rotates in. The students really seem to enjoy it..
5th Graders in Cheer @ FMS
A suggestion has been made that the age gap between 5th and 8th graders is too large. Canceling 5th grade cheerleading at FMS is under consideration, but we need your feedback. 5th graders would still be able to cheer on club teams, but not FMS cheer. Please complete the one question survey below by Thur., May 4 at 3:00 pm. We value your feedback and will make this decision based largely upon the results of the survey.

Morenci Unified School District is interested in receiving feedback from parents and guardians to ensure that we are developing a school system that meets our families’ priorities and the needs of the students enrolled at each school. Please take a moment to complete a survey associated with each child's school.
