Greenlee County Health Department and Gila Health Resources will be providing a flu shot clinic at Metcalf on Thursday, November 14th. Please use the attached link to complete the required forms if you would like your student to receive the flu vaccine. Paper forms are available in our office upon request. Today was special for our Morenci Exceptional Wildcat Club and their Best Buddies! Originally, they were all set to attend the Special Olympics bowling event in Tucson, but due to venue issues, it was canceled.
The club decided not to miss the fun and created a Buddy Day in Morenci! Our students enjoyed a movie at the Morenci Theatre, shared lunch at the Morenci Motel, and ended the day with some fun bowling.
Thank you to the Greenlee County Schools Office for covering the movie and lunch. Your support made this day possible. 🎳❤️

Morenci High School Soccer Team tryouts start Monday, November 4th at 3:45 p.m. on the Lawson Stadium Field. Paperwork and physicals must be completed in order to participate in the tryouts.

Congratulations to Jessica King and Israel Ruiz recognized at the board meeting for Metcalf Elementary. Mrs. King is truly caring, kind and invested in her students' success. She ;is always willing to help and listen. She is an incredible teacher! Miss Israel always has a smile on her face. She is hardworking, dependable, loving and caring towards staff and students.

Attention Wildcat Fans - The JV football game scheduled for October 31st with Thatcher has been canceled.
A learning adventure with the Phoenix Suns was experienced by a few members of the Morenci High School FBLA/Morenci Business Group, along with Business Management teacher, Desarae Daniels, and CTE Director, Sherry Carbajal. The Arizona Future Business Leaders of America hosted the FBLA at the Fire Leadership Conference on Thursday, October 17th, 2024. Participants listened to topics on leadership in workshops and also learned about the world of sports management by a panel of industry sports insiders who shared how they used their passion for sports and incorporated it into their jobs; these jobs have responsibilities that include such things as creating a great game watching experience for season ticket holders to capturing the whole event on camera for sports fans watching in the arena or at home. After the workshops, panel presentation, and basket shooting on the Suns gym floor, all participants were able to watch the Phoenix Suns play the L.A. Lakers. The exciting game went into overtime. Even though the Suns did not get the win, the Morenci team certainly did!
We had a blast at Make and Take Night. Thank you preschool families for being amazing. Hope you had fun and continue to play all the games and activities that you all made.
