We're excited to announce that our Empowerment Program is now called Exceptional Student Services (E.S.S.)! While this is the official name, our students have chosen the nickname Exceptional Wildcats to reflect their Wildcat pride. These fantastic students truly embody the Wildcat spirit every day in all they do.
Here's a peek into what our Exceptional Wildcats are up to:
Classes & Activities: Our students have a full schedule from World History to Culinary Arts. They enjoy everything from cornhole and board games to swim aerobics and gym workouts.
Life Skills & Community: They're learning essential life skills like shopping, using a debit card, and helping at home. They love visiting the post office and celebrating special moments, like Colin's upcoming birthday.
Gardening & More: We're restarting our gardening program and planning a high school club where students can sell popcorn and pickles.
Our Wildcats are looking forward to an exciting year:
Kayslyn is ready for a memorable senior year with friends and looks forward to getting strong in the gym and learning to cook in Culinary.
Carlos loves being back at school, spending time with Mrs. Madrid, and meeting new friends.
Colin can’t wait for his birthday and loves art class with Mrs. Davis.
Jayden is excited for pep assemblies, homecoming, and cooking in Culinary with Mrs. Marble.
This program is led by Mrs. Linda Madrid, with fantastic support from Pam Mennen, Rego Padilla, and Nyree Rojas.
We are so proud of our Exceptional Wildcats and all they achieve daily.
