Morenci High School students participated in Eastern Arizona College Skills Day on Tuesday, April 11, 2024. The event began in 1978 for local students in Graham and Greenlee County interested in business and has now expanded to include participants from across the state. Competitions encompass various fields, such as art, biology, welding, construction, languages, theater, emergency services, and more. Congratulations to our Wildcats for their excellent representation of MHS!
Here are the achievements of MHS students at the event:
Kandyce Alvarez secured 1st place in Biology (Mammalian - Rat) Anatomy.
Abby Blair earned 3rd place in Color Mixing in the Art category.
Lily Kindle clinched 1st place in Color Mixing in the Art category.
Roselyn Dorrell secured 2nd place in Art Still Life.
Keaton Jasso received an Honorable Mention in Still Life.
Christopher Cordova achieved 3rd place in Chemistry (Level 1).
Jasmine Wesley secured 2nd place in Chemistry (Level 1).
James Anderson achieved 1st place in Chemistry (Level 1) and 1st place in Chemistry (Level 2).
Isabella Leyba earned 3rd place in the French Written Exam.
Leila Fallow and Clayton Jacobs both secured 3rd place in Large Woodworking.
Kelique Wilson achieved 1st place in Welding (ARC/Stick).
